Ignaty Dyakov-Richmond holds an MPhil in Linguistics and a Diploma in Business Studies from St Petersburg State University, Russia. He also has an MA in Political Economy of Russia from University College London. In addition, he has also completed the Association for Project Management Professional Qualification (APMP). He is a Chartered Linguist (since 2016).

Ignaty is a serial entrepreneur with experience both in Russia and the UK. He won the prestigious award of Young Manager Organiser in the area of Education, Research, and High Tech in 2005 and was the Finalist of "The Best Russian Teacher outside Russia" in 2015. With a background in linguistics, he has been teaching languages for more than 22 years. He has co-founded Periplus Education, a British online tuition agency, with which, in 2011, he won the Shell LiveWire ‘Grand Ideas’ award given to acknowledge the most innovative ideas submitted by young entrepreneurs and London Business Awards in 2013.

Ignaty has published a series of successful unconventional Russian language textbooks (Russian readers) aimed at business people learning Russian at the Elementary to Intermediate levels (A1-B2). Now they are used in language courses, schools, and universities around the world.

Ignaty is married and enjoys travelling, hiking, vegan cooking, playing chess and learning to play golf. He is a full member of the Society of Authors, the Association for Coaching and the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs.

Since 2016, Ignaty has made a career shift and offers life coaching, especially to those, who experienced major illnesses. Ignaty is a fully qualified life coach (University of Warwick) and a member of the Association for Coaching.
